Hey there!
How does your Christmas video games list look like? (It's a term I just came up with, so bear with me)
Well, mine is a long one, but I'll make it through at some point - is what I'm saying since 2015, with some great exceptions.
I've been here and there asking friends and experts - people who work as gaming experts in shops (note: they're all gamers) - where do they prefer to play their games on?
It's that eternal question, "console or PC, which do you prefer best and why"?
They've given me their preference with some helpful information and you'll be surprised by the outcome!
Let's say for starters that 6 out of 10 people answered "both", while the rest 4/10 said that "it costs more to have both".
Preference wise half respectively chose consoles, "it's about nostalgia mostly", one said, "but there's also this one thing you just can't find the same on a computer" and I think we all know by now that means *console exclusives*.
About *exclusives* you should know, yes, there are some available for PC - with or without cracking - but there's more interesting parts to it when comes to consoles.
Microsoft Xbox exclusives are ones you can find for PC gaming as well, BUT Sony's PlayStation and Nintendo's consoles are limited to their respected platforms.
One expert on the matter told me "Certainly PCs beat consoles by far in terms of graphics and number of games" they continued "especially now that big PlayStation exclusive titles are being released for computers, that means maybe the reign of consoles will end at some point." They also pointed out that "Nevertheless, all machines do their job very well respectively and deserve to be in the possession of every gamer."
A friend who's fan of PC gaming has expressed his uncertainty about the cost of it, saying that "yes, PC gaming is by far the best for me, but to fully experience any game you need to have a budget and when you don't, well, I'm sorry, but you ain't getting what you're asking for" he is seriously thinking to invest in a good sound system and a high quality screen, rather than looking for change in his pocket every 2-3 years.
So, what do you think of this matter?
Which do you prefer?
Do you think nostalgia plays any role at all?
Is money that important for gaming?
Tell me your own opinion at the comment section and I'll write you on the next post!
'Til then,
Merry Christmas~
we all have a lot of nostalgia for consoles but in this current era I prefer the pc, currently in my very personal opinion it is better to play the games on pc it is cheaper than buying a console because currently it is very expensive and a pc is cheaper
ReplyDeleteevery day more companies raise the price of video game consoles and that is more difficult
